after a run a deeside yesterday my buggy developed what i thought was an air leak, so stripped the motor today to fit new gaskets and seals ,only to find an allmost brand new c,y 26cchead with little more than 5tanks had lost half of its liner and is now totally knackerd, i,ve allways used fully synthetic silcoline pro mx and never had a problem i had heard the 29cc c,y head kits had liner issues allso,
 
Paul,you've been sold a head from old stock mate! About 3 years ago CY had an issue with the chrome plating coming off. They had had to re-manufacture with better materials and they are as good as a Zen now.
As said before,you have been sold an earlier model budski.

think your right there mate the guy who i got the head kit off do,s a lot of old stock and the likes, going to go for a 30.5 with a stuffed crank, oh and a dom,pipe .
 
Thats harsh mate. You have some real bad luck , especially with engines.
Though your planned upgrades sound like they will make a sweet mill :D

Sorry to hear that pablo, listen might be worth giving drifter a shout and go the whole hog and get him to port your engine.If interested i will pm you his number.
 
i had the same issue with a big bore top end but the shop I got it from took care of me, gave me a full refund and I just paid the different and went to Zen
 
I went thru a bunch of heads for a bit, but my problem was air filter maint, I only cleaned it every other run or 3rd run. Now that I clean after every run (dirt) I have fixed my problem.
