i believe FS use a CY (Chung Yang) motor, but im not totally postive. but if they do use a CY motor, it wont be Too awefully terrible. a fair portion of the CYs are decent motors, but they can have cylinder plating issues.

I have the cen. the engine is a 30cc 4 bolt head with plenty of power in the cen (it's based off the fs). amainhobbies.com carries parts too. I love the scale looks and it drives like the smaller scaled versions. you need dual steering servos. I am having a bit of a problem with gears getting eaten but otherwise it's been a good truck. demonrc has a solution coming soon for the gear problem or rc-expert has one..

nice truck it looks the same as one that was tested on this forum a while ago but under another name?, cy,s are a bit hit or miss and yes the plating on the bore can last 20 tanks of fuel or it can last 3 tanks.

Looks like a good value short course to me, CY engines are second only to Zenoah and are pretty much just as reliable, as Timmah and Pablo have said some plating issues did exist but this problem should now have been rectified.

Not sure about back up for replacement parts as you will need them, a good tuned pipe or just a simple upgrade like the TGN X-port coupled to the X-can pipe wll make it sing better.

i wonder if they use that DMZ knockoff motor.

does it have the clutch housing molded as part of the crank cases?
