If it's snowing outside, not too heavy, and you run out of beer, what do you do? !!!
That's one for Bigga J I believe, if being serious.
We're in a cold spell at the moment in UK - just snowed perhaps 15-20cm outside - but that's nothing to what I hear of Canada, Norway, etc. ...
I would guess down to minus 5 Celcius is fine without any problem, but much lower will probably affect combustion.
Just quickly tried Googling this topic, and nothing clear came up.

Ok, just wondering if the were like nitro. My S-maxx says not to run it in less than 35-40 degrees
How hard are these to tune in 10-15 degree weather? Or do you even have to tune them?
I'm having to wait till Christmas to run it.
Trying to get knowledge about running them...

nitro stuff is way more finicky that gas. the problem with a nitro motor is it needs the heat to run correctly and most people just lean them out in cold weather to build heat, and the motor runs lean, causes detonation and lack of lubrication to the crank bearings and connecting rod bushing. the proper way with nitro motors is to make the heat sink less effective, i wrap tape around the top of the head or block the air holes off in the body.
now our gas engines are a different story, the cooler temps wont effect tuning nearly as much. gas engines you don't tune by temp like a nitro motor. and think of a chainsaw, guys use them all winter long with no issues or tuning, our motors arent that much different.

You need to richen the mixture up as cold air is condensed compared to warm air. I don't think the temp will affect the running (think snow mobiles etc) so long as the tuning as right, its more a case of how long can your cold fingers take the pain for

I've ran nitro in the snow through the snow no problems till once the airfilter gets soak and wet or the electronics. Your biggest problem to worry about is the plastics. Once the plastic freezes,it gets brittle and will break upon impact.Or the spur gear becomes brittle and breaks. One thing to remember is that as the air cools, the charge density increases, thus there's more oxygen per unit volume of air, hence why you enrich the mixture to maintain a similar ratio, BUT, when you enrich, you cool the engine.
It may be a case that optimum combustion temperatures may not be reached, or not initially, but that's about it.
Some nitro people take advantage of the cold, to actually LEAN off, to get more power out (normally have to enrich from 'ideal' to stop the engine from overheating), which is incorrect, but works, for a while !!
