Still hope to come along, but a mate I haven't seen for a while said he may pop in on his way home, so may not ..... I want to see how the MT picks up now with the new shoes, and the 3S MERV? !!!!!

... and a big thanks to you for the tuning efforts, getting Blue Thunder going.
When I checked the settings at the house, it was 2.0, 2.0 !!!

After the strip down of the carb mounts, replacing one teflon gasket with the Zenoah normal, and helping the other with another Zen card gasket, PLUS extending the hole in the teflon gasket which has probably helped, .... then using the patented Al torque wrench, ie 'will it go any further or am I going to snap something!' I closed in about half a turn on each.

I then had a blast up and down outside just now - fired up EASILY, but was smokey.
I fiddled a little, idle as well.
When I'd shut it down, without trying, it was on 1.25 / 1.25 so can't be far out.

I'll leave it at that for now. It's running fine and giving good power.

Glad you go ir sorted!

A little heads up, the teflon has a tendancey to warp and leave tiny air holes if you over tighten the carm tot he insulator blaock, or the insulator block to the head.

However you don't want them so loose it will vibrate free.

I would highly sujest you use some red loctite but don't over tighten it.

Next time we're out I'll happily have another look over her for you.

Thanks

Craig
