I was thinking twin stingers facing rear?
Im willing to bet that the X-can is what a supplier had at the time, nothing more! The radius is just to give more meat to thread it, theres no radius at the bottom to engourage flow or anywhere else, so I guess thats it.....a metal box!
From the standard Baja can, I'de say don't have the stingers too long, keep them protected by a the roll cage or something, but this area is worth some experiment!

The length of the stingers affects the tuning. Longer stingers give more bottom end whilst shorter stingers more top end I think! The differences are not massive with the x-can but are noticable. The baja's tend to have the stingers cut to finish under the rear wing for protection but just long enough so that the shite from the exhaust doesn't cover the back end!

This setup had no low end, even with the 2 long stingers, until I switched over to the 813... Now it's acceptable. Would be tons better with a pipe, but it's OK for what it is.
