These parts quality or garbage...

They look ok but I wouldnt buy them personally. Not for any particular reason that I can think of though. Ive been to Turkey a few times and its a great place and the people are very friendly & I will definitely be going for another holiday there. I would just rather buy from US or Europe ie countries that are more renowned for their engineering. Just my thoughts......
 
Is he refurbishing old FG and powder coating or are they new parts?
I've seen loads of adverts for his stuff on Fleabay and was wondering myself.
I've re-written my own rulebook and decided anything exposed to possibly serious gravel rash stays silver coloured, i.e. natural Al to start (or Ti) so it doesn't look too badly treated after a few runs!!!

^ I agree I actually asked if they have them in just plain old silver, but I didnt know if the parts were crap before going any further.
 
He was selling an FG-type pipe for like 35 bux (U.S.) and I guess it was absolute trash...

to be honest id steer clear, ive never heard of GH Modelsport alloy before?. Also looking at those pics, the spur gear isnt steel, but alloy... its not a bright idea using alloy spur gear against steel pinion, the spur will get mashed up in minutes.

Using alloy spur & alloy pinion is the way to do it, but to be honest.. go all steel when it comes to gears :)

hes asking about £300 ..id put that towards elcon alloy, or if you want some colour.. Krikke alloy which is good quality & coulourful :)

Not necessarily, I have a steel pinion and plastic spur and this spur has lasted for over 5 gallons of fuel...

I've had to replace 3 plastic spurs in the past 4 years and well over 50 gallons of fuel. Aluminum is stronger than plastic... Granted the plastic is more flexible, but I would prefer steel over any of them.

I wouldn't disregard the parts because of an aluminum spur, but I would be leery of anything that comes from Turkey.

i used plastic spur (wit alloy carrier) wit steel pinion for about 4+ years with no probs :) ...its alloy against steel thats the problem, the aloy gear heats up & the teeth become weak & strips easier than the stock plastic, ive seen it often :(
 
I have decided against the stuff anyways im going to stay plastic and slowly go to elcon over time.
