Hey guys. Can anyone tell me what kind of car this is? I have looked around the internet and I assume it's made by HARM and the motor is a BERGONZONI. That's as far as I got. Any info would be great such as:

- Model #
- How old is it
- Are parts available
- Is it worth anything

Thanks a lot!

cant tell what it is but it looks old!!! Sorry!
Are looking to buy it?
If you are going to use it to foul around, then it should be ok.
If you are looking to race with it, better look for something newer so that you can get parts.

I bought an RC collection and this was included. I want to sell it but have no idea what it is.

I also scored a pair of Baja 5b's so I'm happy.:D

that is a Bergonzoni Brave I with plenty of upgrades on it.

the Motor is a squared 23cc reed case motor. very nice motors. stock they dyno'd (Factory) at 4.26hp at 14000 rpms pretty darn good for a stock type motor.

Sweet thanks man. ^^

So it's not made by Harm? I did notice on the Bergonzoni website that the newer cars had a resemblance.

Thanks again.

ya, 3 to 4 years ago. Bergonzoni discontinued all their older model of cars as well as the reed case motors. in leiu of not beign able to run in their races on Eu due to the Reed Case motors. they then redesinged a completely new rig around the Zen motors. they released those 2 yrs ago. shortly after they released the completely redesigned rig, EFRA rules changed to allow Reed case Motors again.

I honestly think it was a ploy by EFRA rule makers. those Tech motors, and the Bergonzoni rigs were damn near untouchable in the couple years they got to run them. because they pretty much couldnt be beat, they wre outlawed.

now you know the Rest of the Story.

Nice thanks for the info and history lesson. I wonder how old it actually is? It sounds like a fun toy. I would love to fire it up but it's missing the pull start. I need to open it up and just see if the chord snapped.

HTML:
how much are you tying to get out of it?

I just want to sell it for what it's worth or a little less. Not looking to make a killing. I would never use it.

timmahh knows his stuff. Ive been running my brave 4 the past three weeks in deer park L.I. and its still pretty fast. The cord snapped on mine so I punched a hole in the cover center and start it with a 1/2" socket and high speed drill, works great, bergs handle great, and that boss engine is way more powerful than my TKTs zen. berg/dynamic still sells a car(older)with many matching parts. but their newest car is as good if not better than most cars out there. Thanks Tim for all the info.....out.

Geez I wish I had known about the drill trick earlier. I ended up pulling the motor and pipe and tossing them in a box. Now I'm trying to sell the car as a roller. I would like to see how that motor runs.

Here's my berg, hole in the side and everything.Don't pay any mind to the dirt,it gets run all day every sunday, and its fast and handles great, even with only rear brakes. good luck with yours, the drill method works great, and takes rotational mass right off of the crank,(free H P)**Must use high speed drill. put it together and enjoy it, besides the boss engine only fits in a berg(intentionally I think). good luck. p.s. The only bergonzoni in a field of around 115 great drivers took 6th place at the european championship last week...hmmm.

well as soon as i get it i will look into getting that motor fired up and a vid made so you can hear it run (wont be very ggod vid coming from a cell phone though )

Congrats on the berg! I hope it works out well for you. My berg is capable of keeping up with any 1/5 scale in our group (even with only rear brakes). The handeling is that good. I went through the boss piston ring after three seasons and couldn't find a replacement. so I cut a zanoah 23cc ring to size, ground a small notch for the keyed piston, reinstalled and it's had full compression since, very powerful linear torque. Well, its nice to know there's still other bergs out there. Please keep posting your progress.
