was you giving throttle with 4 wheels in the air? never happen to me before.

You only need to look at the contact area to know there isn't a lot of meat there considering what it's being asked to do.

Just so dam annoying, got it ready to go and tuned even took a short video of it on the bench for reference to listen back to the tunning and noticed that the spur wasnt spinning :mad::mad:

Gonna have to wait to order a new one now, may as well get a vented bell hardend as hell i hope too

Before you start ordering things, have you ever been to the Brookland raceway at New Romney? There are loads of great guys there and I'm sure they'll have what you need and they have Mark the UK contrast dealer there who sells other makes parts too. They might try to get you to put some F1 wheels on and have a race but you will enjoy it even if you just watch.

Yes, I have heard of it but never have done it.
I would recommend using shims behind the bell against the bearing. This will allow you to center the bell as best you can without letting the clutch run on the outside edge of the bell. They will also allow the bell to stay away from the alloy gear plate or brake pad area more and not get ground up.
Are you sure you are running the round spacers for the gear plate in the correct spots? If not the bell will run crooked and put stress on it.

thats the same thing that i was talking abouth on my last post happend to me twice when i check it i hade the gear plate pins wrong the smallest on was on the top and needs to go where the engine mount is

New Romney, as in on the south east coast ? thats about 2 hours drive from where i live :w00t:

I have one looks just like that in my pit box. I thought I had blown a dif or something when it let go... sure it's an fg bell and not say a duratrax?

I've got these in my spares box:

http://www.rapid-racing.co.uk/details.asp?ID=10970

Was going through clutchbells like crazy. Since, have been adviced to check my clutchbell mount to see if it's square to the clutch. Measurements showed that the top two horns of the clutchbell mount was as much as 1.7mm closer to the clutch than the bottom two horns.

Since shimming the clutchbell, I've been through two tanks so far and seems (fingers crossed) to be alright.
