cant see the point of rear cable brakes if you have the front ones :(

FG do a tuning layshaft brake that replaces the rubish standard one:D

K....

hi i am new to the forum i have fg baja with cable front brakes how easy is it to install cable brakes on the rear still have standard disk on rear
cheers andy

quite straight forward mate......but u may have to get raised rear hubs, sometimes u have to turn the caliper round so the angled side is against the hub, so they clear the lower wishbones, depending on est up.....

if i was you mate, don't get rear cables (you be forever adjusting them!), use the money saved & get front hydros & keep ya rear layshaft or just get the upgraded version of the layshaft brake :)

I have front and rear on my vw and want to go back to rear cable brakes on the semi. the layshaft brake seems to add more stress to the layshaft gear to me. I never had a layshaft come loose using cable brakes as the pressure to the layshaft is always one direction (only under power). the brake makes that pressure work both directions. I truly believe it is one of the reasons they come loose.
