Hi guys,

Nigel told me somebody broke into his shop. Here's the email he sent:

"Sad to say my shop got broke into last night.

More details to follow still dealing with the Police etc at the moment. Good news is there is some CCTV footage of the people that did this, so I'll be posting that up to to see if anyone recognises the offenders.

Still waiting for the scene of crime team to get here at the moment so I don't have a very detailed list of what has been taken, but after a brief look round the following has been taken. Please keep your eyes peeled, any info will be greatly appriciated.

My Punisher race car with green shell and ZMC Chassis, only 5 in the country so should be easy to spot. Fitted with an Alro 26cc concept engine.

An FG Evo 4 touring car with an orange shell. Fitted with a G240 23cc engine.

My Futaba 3pks Transmitter in it's Futaba case.

Most of the DDM suff I had recently bought in. Most notably the big bore kits. Some of which were the ESP tuned ones.

3 LRP Blast Buggys with front shocks missing.

My MCD Rally car with an orange and black shell (no engine).

Some Etronix Transmitters and chargers.

There was also some other stuff taken but I won't have a list till after the police have come to have a more detailed look round.

Like I said, please keep your eyes peeled, and let me know if you see anything.

Nigel is a really nice guy, and doesn't deserve this.

i have just had my first delivery from him ,first class and very fast, hope they catch the thieving b%&£$@d, ...........................................phil
 
gutted for him :( his lost easily a few grands worth off stock never to mind is own personal cars :( hope they find this fiddlestickers and lock them up must have tooken him alot off time and money to get his business up and running and in a few hours they have wrecked it :mad:
 
very bad news, i spoke to nige today and obviously he is upset.The worst thing is that he is such a nice guy and loves to help people out just for the love of the hobby!The thing is,, the people who broke in are probably retards that he has had in and helped and advised in tha past!!!! i went down to the shop a month ago ,he helped set up my marder n my mates car, i didnt have to buy anything and im sure we took up half of his day.Basically this rc scene thrives with people like him that are willing to help and guide relative beginners like me and hundreds of other people out there starting up this hobby.I hope we all find out who these thieving barstools are!!
There may be a list on the freeprawn website very soon of stolen items and cctv footage so we should all keep an ear and eye open,Surely someone will recognise the thieving scum,what happened to just trying to make a decent living without twats ripping you off!!cant these F****ers make money off their own backs! as i said to him ,in this scene everybody knows someone that someone else knows,so hopefully the culprits might get caught trying to sell HIS stuff or using it, so beware that you could be offered this stolen merchandise.If you do contact nige at freeprawn racing as it could happen to any1,weather its a whole stockpile of stuff or just your pride and joy rc project car, it doesn't really matter as none of us would like this to happen to us ..
 
Man I really hate to hear this. I have zero patience for thieves or liars. In a just world, if they were caught, they'd give Nigel some alone time with them intuw interrogation room.
 
Spoke with Nigel and feels he should be back to trading by about Thursday.

Few other bits missing are:

Leica digital camera (with leather case)
Some Team ZMC parts (diff housings)
Draper compressor
MCD V4 sport
LRP 27mHz wheel radio

The Police are doing there thing, and I'm getting a list together of what has gone amiss. I will post details later today. I will also be posting some CCTV footage of our friends later too as soon as I get clearance from the Police.

We will be posting out orders today too, hopefully we will be able to get any outstanding orders sent out by the weekend. Please note no customers personal information has been compromised during the break in.

I would like to assure you I will get things back to normal as soon as possible. With your continued support I'm sure I can push forward and keep providing the great support you have come to expect from Freeprawn Racing

cant wait for the cctv footage i bet the stuff will be on ebay if it is there dumb as anything, there must be junkies mite just sell to anyone on the road :(
 
hope we get a clear look at their faces,morons!cant believe they took his ftx off road race car,he has put so much time and money into that beast.The touring cars were on the wall so friends and customers could have a gander, seeing them displayed there made me want to buy one-as i said before,cant stand THIEVING SCUM!!!!!!!!!

just recieved my fuel tank from him today in post ordered form last week, top chap to deal with.

Those that did it should be hung by there bo**ox with fishing line! :(
 
I don't know nigel but i will keep an eye out i had a brushless mt stolen out of my real truck a few months ago and it is just such a sickining feeling to realize someone just walked off with your stuff! Please post pics of the stolen stuff so we can see exactly what the stuff looks like sry to here about this nigel best luck recovering your stuff
