I noticed 3-4 times now, that as soon as the fuel goes under the in-tank filter/clunk the engine will not stay running.
Anyone else noticed this and have the same "problem"?

That should not happen. Does the clunk have the white filter material on the outside of it?
It should still pick up the fuel as it wicks the fuel up.

Yes, a new clunk came with the engine, and I put it in together with the new engine.
I suspect that I might have to much fuel line inside the tank, making it arch over the fuel early. Maybe try the old clunk as I didn't have this problem with my old engine, and that is the only thing that I changed on the fuel supply side.

Yes, little clip is on :) I can't even get it to start when this happens. As soon as i fill it up, it's back to normal. I'm going to do some cleaning tomorrow, so I guess I will take it apart again then :)

Sure will do, I try to update my question after the have been resolved, as I hate it when other get help and then forget to post back, but sometimes I also forget :o

I about 90% sure, hahaha
Put them on according to the manual, but I could have mixed them up.
But would it run if are on wrong?

Nope,it will run for a few sec's. Clunk line to the bottom of the carb.
If the fuel falls below the clunk the tanks empty!:lol:

:lol: James!! the clunk should be at the bottom of the tank so you may need to adjust the fuel line to make sure there is enough length on it for this to happen.

The clunk is at the bottom of the tank. What I ment was "as soon as the fuel goes under the TOP OF THE in-tank filter/clunk the engine will not stay running."

If you open the fuel cap does it start then? Could be a problem with pressure in the tank maybe???
I would go back to the old clunk if that worked ok before. It will eliminate a problem with the new 1 at least.

Your going to get a bit of pressure in the tank. Do you have any type of pressure tube on the tank, or pressure release hole on the cap?

If you are running a full tank until the very bottom then the issue starts then its not a pressure issue IMO. What type of clunk is it? Is it plastic or metal?

It's a Zenoah metal clunk, came with the engine. Identical to the old one.
The tank cap is the original fg cap, with a vent hole in center.
Fixing a new plug on monday, can't wait for shipping through ebay, testing the old clunk then. Getting back to you with the result.
