hello all im new to petrol rc cars i bought my marder about 1 week ago its been running fine until today, now when i pull trigger to full throttle the car was fludding itself i played with th screws on the carb (blindly) and now it wont start at all. and is it suposed to run on choke all the time as when i push it down it cuts out or is this wright. is their a setup manual availible?

Set the H & L screws back to factory settings as per the link from Atom. Make sure the head bolts, exhaust manifold & carb bolts (take air filter off for access) are tight. Take your plug out & make sure its clean & dry. Close the choke & pull a couple of times till it tries to start then open the choke fully & it should fire up within a couple of pulls.

There is also a tuning guide in the engine section which is easy to follow.

don't take any notice of Dwarfy, his cars been sitting on a shelf for the last nine months!:lol::w00t:
J.

Cheeky!! I put some grass on it the other wk & bent the wing to make it look like it had seen some action :lol:

that reminds me mate i found that other spoiler for you mate :D

Nice 1 - let me know how much. I was clearing the cupboard out on Friday night & found a bag of bits that I got when I bought the car & there is a full ally wing in there that I forgot about. Weighs a feckin ton - wheelies would be no problem with that fitted :w00t:

Threadlock is a must but just go for the blue stuff otherwise you will struggle to open it up again when you need to! I bought my marder used & lost a few bits on the 1st outing too so a rebuild is def a good idea :D

all good feels like home already :D where is the best place to buy nut and bolts from as i think im gona need spears.

I bought a bag of mixed nuts & bolts for the marder from Rossmods to get me started. It was about a tenner but has a couple of everything in it including engine mount washers - cant remember the FG part no tho??? Found it very useful to have. I might still have the part no somewhere in my spares box so will let you know if I find it.
