Hello all,

I will be out for the first time this weekend with my FS Racing 4WD RC "The Rally 5T Truck this is my very first large scale. Im not sure what to do after im done running it.. I know what to do with nitro but just not sure what to do here please help:celebrate: :):)

clean it up is all i do i leave the gas in mine

after an outing i will generally use my air compressor to blow the majority of the dust off, clean any grime off with brake clean. i drian my fuel tank as i don't like the smell. if i have no repairs to do ill check over all the screws, make sure everything is tight, most importantly suspension screws, wheel squares, and gear screws. check your gear mesh and condition. every couple outings ill pull the motor and check the clutch.

if you read it again, i check my clutch every couple times out. my fg has a quick release engine mount, i can have the engine out in about a minute. i pull the engine to clean it better, better inspect for exhaust leaks, anything abnormal, and the clutch is right there. yes it may be overkill, i tend to do a lot of maitinence on my stuff, i like to make sure im not the guy watching everyone have fun when im fixing my car, or out for the day

I'll remove the body and wash it down, wipe, then dry it.
Leave the chassis near a radiator or warm place to dry any mud, then brush off.
Visually inspect, and check all nuts and bolts - don't forget the wheels themselves.
Don't forget the throttle rod - both ends - carb and servo.
Check screws on servo horns.
Check hydro fluid.
I'm one of the lazy ones and don't remove the fuel, but leave it in a cool place after I'm done, normally near a very slightly opened window.
That's about it. I found out my clutch was worn once simply by the fact it wasn't engaging - Oddified one and had to replace the shoes, but it's only an inconvenience for me, I'm not racing.
Al.

give it an inspection for any loose nuts & bolts etc, give a wipe down, if it aint too mucky just a clean paintbrush does the trick. Check the gear mesh & teeth etc. No need to empty fuel tank infact ive read leaving a little fuel in the tank is a good thing as the vapour will keep the carb/fuel tubing lubed etc, dunno if this is tru? but anyway leaving fuel in tank wont do any harm as long its not for a long time (ie: months!)

:)

I don't empty mine either! Clean it down & check the fixings & always make sure I check the screws to the engine mounts are tight as this fecks the gear mesh on FG's. Then it gets polished and put back on the shelf doesn't it Voo :p:lol::lol:
