thats very nice mate,i need entire alloy rear end to cope with powerful engine, found a company that are pretty cheap. id get rid of the marder stickers tho mate, they are probably a design from 20 years ago,it would look much better wivout it!
oh, ive been thinkin about 2 speed,if i keep it,is it worth the money,is it reliable and how does it perform...cheers, like i said ,very nice!!

2 speed

the 2 speed is ok, its a real pain in the as% to set up. I don't notice a huge difference but like any hop up parts you see small gaines here and there. one issue is the gear cover doesent fit over it. So iam in the process of cutting up a gear cover and glueing 2 of them together to have the proper clearence. when i get it complete i will pot a picture. should be on my to do list for this week  among many other things lol. I will get some more pictures without the body. shes got lots of aluminum :D:D entire rear end in aluminum among many other parts. I got 2 diff gears and recenty changed them and its quit slower out of the hole now but better top end, so i think i re installing the other one again ans i liker jumpy out of the hole:D. Iam not sure of the gear count on them as it doesent say and its tedious to count em all

Nice Marder mate, I like it in yellow and with the Marder stickers, a bit different but original,
Your 2 speed gears look the same on the big gear, probabley why you can't see much difference in speed, I'm sure there is some one on here that can give you a good set up for a 2 speed offroader.

bad night

:( well went out last night to race and didnt even move:(:(. Wehn my battery had some issues the other day, it flipped over and reved up i hit the btake and manualy turned back the servo to bring the throttel down(i never ibspected it for any damage) it was revin pretty high for 10 seconds. Well i went out to race last night , fired it up hit the throttel and it didnt move:confused:.. after inspection i discovered the clutch bell snapped of the shaft right behinde the gead plate!!!!!!!!! so i have to try and locate a 2 speed clutchbell:mad::mad:. so today im installing the single speed back in it until i can get a new clutch bell. Any one know wear to locate one??

here are a few pictures. I cant seem to locate a new clutchbell, its like they don't exist. my uncle builds rc jests and has some good equipment, and figures he can tig weld it back together. I will post pictures of the tig weld when is complete. whent out to the track last night and it broke again withen 5 min. the piece on the walbro 813 carb that attaches the throttel arm broke when i had a rough landing. It snapped off in the carb so i gota see if i can somehow fix it, if not the old carb will go back on

Nothing a bit of super glue won't sort:lol::lol::lol:

that's a bugger..
it is a heavy shaft running on quite a thin walled clutch bell so it will take alot of stress until the torque or a knock is just too much for it...

hope you get it sorted soon

i got a feeling it might have something to do with the two speed. if it happens again switch to a single speed set up and see how it goes.

because the clutch bell shaft needs to house two gears its quite a bit longer and therefore more streess on the tip of the shaft, bearings would be copping a flogging.

make sure your gear/layshaft carreir is running the correct thickness bearing, that will help a bit.

single speed back in

got the single speed back in it and she still goes like snot lol. iam getting the clutch bell welded just waiting for it to get done. Iam contemplating parting with it. getting board of driving it around the yard and every now and then around the track. almost all our races around here are on the weekends and i work every weekend:(, very frustrating). If anyone is interested let me know. i can sell it with all the aluminum upgrades or replace it with stock plastics to keep the price down my email i [email protected] its rtr but could use a proper battery iam using a nmh 6 cell pack i had layin around but it don't hold a charge long
