it is indeed an xrc not an hpi baja clone and the above statment is correct they are the biggest pile of poo out there the gears melt the diffs are made of chocolate and the engines are crap.

if i was you i would sell the savage and save some money up buddy and either by a good clone like a km baja or even better an hpi baja.

don't do it! Its an xrc parts are hard to come by & they are pants

take it from a previous XRC owner don't swap, they are absolute rubbish unless the previous owner has custom made everything.

out of the box they are slow and more fragile than any other RC on the planet. plastics are worse than k-mart toys and the motor is just rubbish.
