Well it has been a few weeks since i last ran the 5b it has a stock 26 with x can and for some reason i cant get it to fire it doest even make the pop sound i have fuel and a fresh plug but nothing is happening does anyone have any idea on what i can check now??

thanks john

Is the plug getting wet like it is getting fuel? Take the plug out put it in the plug wire lay it on the head and see if you are getting a nice blue spark. Make sure it is touch something metal on the engine. Does it feel like it has good compression?

check to see if your getting spark, if not then it would either be teh kill switch (i am assuming you have one) or something with the coil (coil could be either improperly gapped or toast. either way i would check to make sure it is getting fire firt then if it is getting fire move on to carb troubleshooting.

check your manual kill switch and make sure its not stuck pushed in. if it is, pushed in all the way (the button under the outter red rubber boot), you ll need to work it out. dust can cause the buttons to get sticky.

if the kill button on the flywheel cover is not stuck down, try a new plug before doing much else. just cuz a plug fires out side when checked, doesn't mean it will fire under compression.

if you read the ops post again bud you might see where he says he installed fresh fuel and a fresh plug ;)

hey may of, but a new plug doesn't mean a good plug as super noticed.
if he used the manual kill switch to cut the motor, its my guess, the kill switch is stuck.
