Just bought a v4,after having problems with my tb2pro at the power jam i decided to try something diffrent until these issues with the tb2 are sorted out and fixed, so far like the v4,with a modd 28.5 from a local engine builder out here with a rear mount cpi pipe runs pretty good cant wait to get it to the local track.

I am sorry to say I was a tester on the TBII pro and had so many problems with just trying to get it ready to run. Many things just would not line up. Do to my situation I had to sell it before every getting to run it.

I am VERY interested in a RR V4 but do to my situation will be a while if I get one.

I know on my 5b SS I love the CPI pipes.

The FTX punisher which is the plastic version of the TB11 pro isn't having any issues over here and is leading the national championship by a long way.

My choice of 4x4 would be the punisher by a long way.

Is the punisher made by Nutech? If not who and do you have a link to the manufacturers web site?
Thanks

So it is the same as the TBII ready to run which they call it over here and on the factory web site. Good to see it doing so well. When I was a tester for Nutec on the forums there was a section that only testers could go to. I was able to see a lot that others could not.

I am sure they have made many improvements and will make more.

And ya nutech or punisher is winning championships over there but were your at there are motor restrictions in the racing,im running a highly moddifeid motor and unfortunatley it just cant handle the power like some of the other cars can, note alot of the other cars have companys that make upgrades so you can run that power, don't get me wrong i love my tb2 i even have the zmc chassis with dual steering servos, but they need to make some of the drivetrain parts a little beefier to handle the power.

At one time I was a tester for Nutech. I had the TBII PRO what they call it here in the US and on the manufacturers web site. Keep in mind this was before they where ever released. I never did get it running do to so many fitment problems. Then I got laid off work and had to sell it. Never did get it running. I think the TBII has a lot of potential.

They're all using tuned engines here too - no problemz

They don't run moddified 30.5 in the races out there that i do know,if im correct the limit is 23cc,just ask Scott from nutech in wisconsin after seeing how much power i was running and all the stuff i was breaking he also realized, there needed be some upgaded stuff on the drive train thats why he has contacted phat dad to make dogbones and cvds since the nutech ones are just not holding up,like i said i love my tb2 but some stuff needs to be better, plus the tracks you guys run out there are not as agressive as the tracks we run here in the states, that i do know also.

The 30.5 sure is not a racing motor.

Yeah, I would never race with a 30.5. I'm a fan of the modded 26 myself but a 27.2 would probably work the best in a 4WD.

Anyhow, Let's see some pictures! I'm dying to get my hands on a RRv4. The quality of these MCD's look incredible.

Since I am not racing now no way to know for sure but I would guess the modified 28.5 would be a good race motor. Short stroke big bore. I would think it would rev quicker. The 30.5 is a torque monster but revs slower and I would think less top RPM. I just put a race ported 30.5 I built in my 5b. The only reason I built it was I had all the parts sitting around. I all so built race ported 28.5 after I run the 30.5 for a while I am going to instal it.

What do you mean a 30.5 isnt a race motor if your putting it in a 4wheel drive and need the torque, which most do then thats what you want to run you don't need it to rev to the hills unless your running onroad, and a 28.5 is a good motor for a more consitent power curve, had a full mod 27.2 esp motor and would never get another.

In the UK and Europe you have a limit of 23cc tuned engines - more than ample and 26cc for off roaders again, ample power and fuel comsumption. We have the outlaw class which is anything that doesn't conform to the 2wd class rules i.e 4x4 cars. They have a limit of 30.5cc but nobody uses anything more than a 29cc because it's pointless - TBH most of the drivers run a tuned 26cc and they'd beat anything else around a track anyway.
Big cc engines and loud chrome pipes don't compliment rc cars for racing and I'd never anything more than a tuned 26cc engine in one of my cars.

I guess it all depends on the track your running on,if your running on a tight track with alot of turns with hard packed surface, which from the videos i have seen is what you guys mainly run on but when your running on a track with alot of straights and loose,if you can get the traction, the more power the better, i guess if you can handle it,which i don't seem to have a problem.

Yes but they don't come with a Steve Haynes in the box :p

Thats like saying contrast is the best cause oddies winning ..

You know what I mean smartarse lol, out of the box and £ for £ they're good quality and value.

BTW Did you notice that after I was the first in the UK to race a Contrast, loads of people have them now.
