Yes my uncle wants the atom instead of his caterham...
you think its worth it? caterham's are great cars but im not
digging the atom for some reason, don't get me wrong
its looks the part but you rekon he should trade it in ?

Im pretty sure i seen the atom on british topgear wow it was quick and the handling was even better ;) they are two different cars but both are gr8 .... if i had two choose i would take the Atom because its outrages power to weight ratio and handles like a F1 :lol::lol::lol:
 
Never heard of either until now. After looking up the Ariel atom, that would be my pick. Reminds me of the Indy 500 race cars here, but street legal. :D
 
I suppose it's like swapping a Porsche 911 Carrera 2S for a Ferrari 458.
Different look, probably faster, and much more expensive!!

Depending on which model, the Atom (!!!) is probably even more extreme.

Don't get me wrong, it depends on which model of each - Caterham have extremely wild models and NONE are slow.

If nothing else, it's a change, and a different look - just hope he doesn't start to pull a Clarkson face!!!

Going off the plate the Caterham is the R500 which beat the Enzo and the Veyron round the top gear track & still has 1 of the quickest times to date. It beat the Atom easily until Ariel brought out the V8 version but that costs a feckin fortune.....

These are the fatest laps ever around top gear track and Caterham and Atom don't even get a mention

They have to be road legal cars to be included on the board and the Caparo didnt meet the real world criteria for being able to drive over a speed bump so yes there have been faster laps but they do not get posted on the board. The link I posted is the up-to-date lap board for road going cars.
