Cold, wet, windy St Helens, U.K.
I ordered an electronic ignition set V2 from Pitstop Racing at the beginning of April.
I paid for it with my credit card and the statement says payment has been made on the same day, or next.
There was no delivery and no comment until I asked where the kit was, to be told that there was a manufacturing problem by Harrie Sachs and there would be a delay.
A month later, still no kit, so I enquire again.
Harrie again replied that they expect deliveries to re-start during August.

I returned from a spell in Mexico, and again asked the question - where the is it? - but politely.

I was told ..... "the reason you haven't received it is that you haven't paid for it .... "
Like hell!!
It was paid for 5 months ago, confirmed by bank statement, with no refund mentioned in any statement since!!!

Now I'm being avoided.
Up until now, I've had nothing but good to say about them, but this is total BS!!
Has anyone else been fathed around by Pitstop Racing of Holland?
I don't take people taking £166 off me lightly!!:mad:

There right fookers!! they cant do that to you!! does it say on the bank statement
who the money went too? cant you take a pic of it and send them it and say look there
is my proof ?

Let's see what they say next.
YES, of course I can.
I've e-mailed them the same.

I'll give them until mid next week, then will have to take action - I've been fathed around royally as far as I'm concerned, but let's see.

I've not bought anything from Pitstop for a year or so but I never had any issues at all. Ordered stuff, paid for it and received it.
I've met Harrie a few times at race meetings and He's a real nice guy. I'm sure things will work out and this is just a glitch.

don't know about over there but over here all you have to do is call the credit card company and file a claim, you'll get your money back no problem.

Atom, I have the Red Race ignition from Pitstop racing and all the way through I was in constant contact with Harrie and got great service. Even before I bought it I was asking him all sors of questions and he answered them all without fail.

No idea why you are having this problem but as one guy said above you can claim via your credit card company.

Pitstop have a very good customer service record so I would think this is one of those one off cases that happens with just about every retailer good or bad.

I can't understand either.
I was being told for 3 months that there was a delay through a manufacturing problem which was being resolved, and then when I most-recently enquired I was suddenly told 'the reason you have not received is that you have not paid' which is total and absolute bullshit!!

1. All of a sudden the story has changed.
2. This is MONTHS after I have been led to believe the payment was made and approved, and there were supplier difficulties.

I can understand that sometimes in language changes there can appear more-direct-than-is-polite replies, so am watching.
Harrie has not replied since I sent all of the proofs of payment, and I've decided I'll wait until Wednesday then I'll take action through my bank.
Not much more I can say really.

I thought they are a reputable and well-established merchant. This only happens with continuous and correct service to patrons, totally in contradiction to what I'm currently experiencing!!
Al.

I do want to resolve this amicably.
The problem is I don't understand how anyone can change so quickly.
I've been sending requests of an update based on the proofs of payment and am getting no reply.
I want to think positively, which is the only way forward in most situations.
I am well and truly miffed at his reply.

History!!

Harrie and Pitstop are officially consigned to the 'bunch of jokers' club!!
I have been very fair.
I have been very clear.
I am being totally ignored.

I have now contacted the bank who CONFIRM that the money has most definitely been paid.
I have yet again asked for an update from Harrie, and NOTHING.

I WILL NEVER USE THESE JOKERS AGAIN - PERIOD!!

I am so sorry, but such things happen to the best of us.
I cannot consider this a misunderstanding as I have transmitted all references precisely as stated in my bank statement and as verified by my bank, and have been totally ignored.

I do not know about the UK but over here we have the BBB, attorney generals offices in each state, FTC and so on. I have had to use them before and most times with good results. Do you have anything like that in the UK? Sorry to hear about your problem and I understand your frustration.

i've had 1 problem before. i called the credit card company and told them what was happening, they had me fill out a online claim form and 2 days later i had my money back. i wouldn't bother with them any more, just make a claim against them (without telling them that you're doing this) and you'll get your money back and they'll be on the credit card watch list so that if it ever happens again to someone else or continues to happen they can end up getting hit with frod charges.

That's actually a very good idea.

'By total coincidence' I've finally received an e-mail stating that I was mixed up with another client and new deliveries will be received soon.

I always try to think well of people, but if I've been seriously pi$$ed off by someone, my reaction may not be so well mannered!! Normal really.

I like the idea of the black-listing on the credit card creditors, and perhaps it was someone whispering in his ear that this may happen if he continues this way ....
Don't know.

Thing is, it's to fit the Redrace electronic ignition onto a Trevor Simpson 28.5 2-bolt full mod reed engine, with inlet for nitrous injection ....
This motor if set-up properly (no nitrous for me at least to start with!!) will seriously shred tyres (and stuff clutches .... :D:D)
I have read that modifications are required to fit it, but I cannot find just what is required - major or minor.

I've still no idea why people in the UK are getting A. TS (or others) engines when there is no real race pedigree in the RC world and there is no back up in the UK, B. why people are getting and engine that needs modds to the car to fit it, C. I still have no idea why people would buy an engine that allegedly has enough power to damage their car rather than smooth power & reliability where it's needed.

Kreb,
You have NOOOO idea what I can or can't afford. I choose to use Oddified engines because I believe they're the best available in all areas and are far better than any of the alleged "race tuned engines" imported from the U.S. Oddified aren't the most expensive or when used with a proper pipe they aren't the loudest - this being the main reason some of you half wits choose onb, ts, jetpro or any other loud non performing hunk of bling.

FYI I have both the cash and the dash as you put it.
