Hello, I need you all to assist me, I have reached a bind and need your help. I have an FG MT, and have a complete alloy setup. I began working on the rear section today and have reached a stopping point. The issues are as follows.
1. I ordered titanium turnbuckles and aluminum ball joint ends. I used them (as you can see in the pictures) but could not use them on the upper camber adjustment portion of the a arm that attaches to the top portion of the rear hub. Any advice there? For now, I used the plastic one.
2. The lower A arm rests just parallel to the chassis when no pressure is applied and it is just hanging. If I press with my finger to push it below parallel (as I hope to have it when assembled), it binds due to the lower and upper a arms not being aligned as the suspension travels. Is this the nature of the beast? I do not want my suspension fighting the forces of the mechanics more so then I want them pressing against the weight of the truck.
3. The diff carrier bar that holds the innermost a arm of the upper adjustable rear camber arm slides back and forth as the suspension travels. This also causes pressure. Is this normal? Is the travel shown all the travel I'm going to get out of this setup?
HT is the setup in the rear, they provide absolutley no instructions? Any advice? I tried to paint the picture with the pictures provided. Any help?
