Hey guys, Not really a project as its complete i just wanted to share it.

Hmm...Compleate isn't really the right word since lets be honest.....these are NEVER compleate!

  • Powdercoated all the aluminium parts Cobalt candy blue
  • Chopped the chassi down 45mm
  • Machined my own radio box from scratch to allow for full fuel tank
  • Turtle Racing pullstart
  • Turtle Racing front brace
  • Turtle Racing rear brace
  • Turtle Racing HD clutch system
  • Turtle Racing clutch housing
  • Phatdad case saver
  • phatdad engine brace set
  • LED lights
  • Walbro 668 Carb
  • ZRC Billet intake (yet to be fitted)
  • Shredstack inclined(yet to be fitted)
  • CY/Zenoah 28.5cc CRP ported motor

i like that mate the wheels look so much different than mine in white nice id love another but just cant imagine having more than the beetle its hard enough keeping one running well
 
ive just got hold of a tamiya 1/10 nitro scoobie and im getting 2 lunchboxs in a few weeks one for me to be converted to run lipo's and a brushless and another for my 6 year old daughter who has driven my bug and loves it plus im getting a blade 450 3d at some point to try helis,,its a good fun but costly like a crack habit

hi got aload of stuff on the board waiting to be welded to look like something but cant get to it for sandrails, one day soon i think, just got another place to work in so need to sort that out for the design work i think

i think your right mate its easy one of the best looking bajas whats even better is its a clone and electrics and engine aside there starting to be the better choice and you get more for your money shame hpi cant give a little more

I have found that KM BLACK plastics are pretty awful, brittle & break easy.

However their nylon parts are a blend of nylon 6/6 and super flexible.

Although not accurate i bent and twisted by hand 2 parts (roll cage and wishbones) from my HPI baja and from my White clone...

The White KM plastics are MUCH MUCH more supple...

jumping is the one thing i don't do anymore its allways ended in tears and cost me money,,,plus for some reason the bug don't jump well i think its lack of skill,,little ones are ok but anymore it just lands on the front end and bends my allready bent chassis,,

My bug doesn't either,i put it down to the body shell acting like a big parachute...
