When I upgrade I like to upgrade to the best. Plus I love the looks of them. Too much? Why the heck do they sell them then?

The elcons seem even more expensive than the innovative ones. I didn't even think that was possible!!! So no one has ever used or seen the innovative shocks?

ive got a pair. they are nice shocks, no denying that. are they neccessary, no not really. the 8mm shocks are massive and the damping is smooth though. only thing i didnt like is the spring perch is not removable, meaning if you wanna take the spring off or whatever, you have to remove the top cap and adjuster coller to remove the spring. if you truck is reall heavy the stock spring is a little weak also. they offer firmer spring but ddm doesn't carry it.

i think i will just stick to full mod hpi shocks. pretty much bullet proof, unless someone t-bones you right in the shock you really don't need inno shocks, imo. i have the one set simply cause i wanted to see what they were all about.

They sell them because there are thousands of retards out there, myself included, who will buy anything that anyone comes out with that will make it run faster/better/smoother/lighter etc.. If it weren't for all these forums and everyone trying to one-up each other, I wouldn't have dumped over 5K into my baja. Don't get me wrong, there are some necessary upgrades that needed to be done, but there's a lot that's just not justified. You can work the stock shocks to be damn near perfect...if you took the time. It's unfortunate that there are hardly any spring choices though.

You could always have a play around with modifying you original shock pistons to get the feel you're looking for, it works well doing it on other brands, why not the hpi?
