The 50:1/is this plug OK thread needs to be edited or deleted.
A quick google search, a person finds this information without reading it all, and ruins his engine! Also close this thread before it becomes like the old thread!

All the admin has to do is filter the word 50:1 to say summit like 25:1 ..then as soon someone types 50:1 (we all know who!!) ..it will say 25:1 or summit :)

lets face it, wouldnt cause any probs cuz the only time ive seen 50:1 posted is by the same member giving bad advice!

:)

WCM dosen't give bad advice. It states right in the manual to use 50:1 mix. That's all I have use for 20 yrs and no problems. You just wasting you money on the oil going right out the exhaust.:lol::lol::lol:

Builder guy!!!!!!

After readin most of your advice (sorry fekin bad advice) all I can say is you sound like a fekin broken record!!!! If 50:1 was the right mix then zen and cy would advise to use that mix. We don't run weed walkers, strimer, pocket bike or any other small 2 stroke engines we use model rc engine that run with a specific fuel/oil mix stated by the engine manufactors, who know more about the said engines than you so please take this in a nice way...... Keep your bullshit advice to yourself.

I am new here, but gonna add my .02. You do in fact run a weedeater engine, but that is beside the point. Just because you do not agree does not make it bullshit advice. I can assure you, manufactures play it safe with their recommendations.

sigh,,I am older. I have seen and ruined, a bunch of 2 smokers in my time. We used to mix everything at 15:1 and 20:1. That was many years ago. As the oil and tolerances got better, the mixtures changed.

I was taught that you mix the oil according to the oils technology. I still own and use a chainsaw that states 20:1 on the lid. I mix it at 50:1 with stihl chainsaw oil. By all of you guys theory's, I should follow the chainsaw gas cap directions, and not the oils directions. You would be wrong.

It may be safer on the motor to run the 25:1 as suggested by the manufactures, but not the only way to successfully run the engine, and possibly not the best way to get "all you can get" from the engine.

If the manufactures opinion was really that important to you,,,you would not put any aftermarket parts on your car,,as they do not recommend that,,,,,

so any facts for either side or is it just an immature pissing contest?

Most of the advice said guy has given has been removed from the forum so it's no immature pissin contest my friend, he gives bad advice which if newbies take on board could reck their cars, I'm not gettin into an aurgument with you on this matter but if you'd read his posts you'd probably agree with everyone else :):):)

Enjoy the forum mate as we all do :)

I do enjoy reading here, thanks!

I am not defending him or his opinions. I read where he says needles do not affect color of plugs. All (most) 2stroke mech's know better then that....

It just seems there are no facts being given on the oil mixture subject.

I know enough about my 2 smokers to run them, but am slightly ignorant on radios and these vehicles in general, which is why i came here looking for knowledge. I have learned stuff already.

Glad you enjoy it mate as this is probably the best Largescale forum out there.

I agree mate but not everyone in this hobby knows the mechanics side and depend on places like this for advice, so to reply to everyone's problems on engine tunin 50:1 is the correct mix in my opinion is bad advice that's all I was tryin to get across mate that's all, as voo2doo says any ding dongs will end in ban bans :) as I respect the guy as a fellow club/track member and a forum mod I think we should just agree to disagree mate and leave this one alone :):):)

That's right!!!! 50:1 rocks. Just as if you want to put on all that aftermarket crap on these engines this is the same principle as the oil mix. IF WCM says it's fine and I've been doing it for 30 yrs with no problem then stop the BS! Your just wasting your money on the oil going right out the exhaust!

:sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep:

I've just had an awful dream where some knob keeps going on about 50:1 oil mix.

Just glad it was a dream and I know the real world is different.
