I have one of them...hobbymat MD 65..
really good little machine..
sadly it struggles with the big cuts but just means you have to take a bit more time

keep an eye on the alloy plate for the change gear as thats the main weak point
and the starter switch can stick a bit.
I have full set of instructions if you need a copy...

you can also get a milling head to bold to the back of it..the BFE65.

Cheers mate, I got a fully copy of the instructions & the supplementary notes(both editions)

I have noticed already it struggles on big cuts, but in honesty I wouldn't really be doing anything needing such big cuts any ways.

I got a proper miller next to the lathe so doubtful i'll bother getting the BFE attatchment.

Thanks for the heads up

I've always wanted a lathe since I was at school but a milling machine would be more use to me I think.

What time are the brews served? lol

I never noticed the mill in the back ground...

My next purchase will be a half decent powerfeed mill too..
my md65 does not see too much use anymore as I have upgraded to a boxford 280..
much bigger and loves the heavy cuts..
