i never heard of it guess a lil googlin might provide some info. from lookin at the ratio mix of 1.8 oz per gall, your prolly gonna have to go closer to the 5 0z per gall to get the 25:1 ratio needed on these bajas

Dumb question LAN, but I got my 002 buggy today and it came with a oil/gas mixer jug with tic marks labeled 1-10 on both the oil compartment and gas compartment . Should I fill the oil up to the 10 tic mark and gas up to the 10 tic mark on on the side labeled 1:25 to achieve the proper mixture? I'm sure the answer is yes but I wanted to make sure.

lol yah i got one too, but i don't use it, i take my empty 1 gal gas jug, and using the ratio for 25:1 which comes out just a hair over 5 ozs, i use a measuring cup i got just for this measure out the oil in it, and dump in jug, then go to gas station to fill the jug up exactly 1 gal of gas, pumpin gas in with oil already in helps to mix it some, then some gentle shaking and such to finish off the mixing good, and your ready to go.

in fact the exact ozs is 5.12 ozs oil to gal of gas, you could use a digital scale even with a cup zeroed out and fill to 5.12 when set to ozs on scale.

lol look in housewares dept. kitchen stuff, for one in ozs, should find one easily. hard part is the .12 of the 5.12 ozs, thats why i reccommend something like a small postage scale or similar that will show ozs. then ya just need any ole cup big nuff, and place on scale zero it out, and add oil to the 5.12 and u good ta go. once ya get the right amount in either the measure cup or other cup, mark a line on it so from then on ya just fill to line and good to go.

As soon as you guys 'go metric', life will be so much easier for you!!

i really hate metric bolts etc.. but alot of cars nowadays have a mix of both or all metrics in them, like my Saturn, american car, but has alot of metric stuff in it. its unavoidable, unfortunately, cuz really i was raised using american standard tools, so im used to that and the measurements too. its just odd to me the metric system.
