Hi guys

as some of you know i'm new to the site and i just bought myself a ShengQi Hummer 1:5 monster truck really wanted the Fg Marder but this is a good option did not really want to spend anymore for now

just wondering anyother ShengQi owners on here ?

Is it a new truck or is it used with some hop-ups? The SQ Hummer has some known weak points so you may end up spending £100+ to make it reliable. The good news is most parts are compatible with FG so plenty of availability with Rossendale Models being 1 of the best FG stockist in the UK. They certainly look the part tho and the shell is 1 of the best looking trucks out there IMO :D

A few weak points to watch out for:
The stock SQ shocks are prone to leaks (if they don't leak there is prob no oil in them :rolleyes:), diff is weak (stock FG diff is straight swap), wheel squares round off in no time, offside rear wheel is known to come off during running due to poor lock nuts, quality of plastics is generally poor but upgrade to FG as & when they break.

no total standard and second hand but i have replaced the air filter and tune pipe on its way just bought some fg shocks and wheels although i have a great mod for the rounding off on the wheels

i'm after this things to hop -up any suggestions please :)

yeah i love the shell but i repainted mine just to be different

i want to swap over the arms and links and ball joints when they break to the metal versions are these just remove refit with the FG marder ones ?

ive also got a shengqi,the parts i upgraded were the wheels,wheel squares,wheel nuts,shocks,steering servo,fuel tank and Im trying to find a diff at the moment

cool i've now got fg wheels and tyres fg shocks , fg fuel tank got new air filter new plug and tune exhaust on its way with the steering servo i stripped as faulty found teeth missing in plastic gears replaced with metal gears thats it for now

next on list is new fuel line when tank arrives and maybe a new transmitted as prefer stick .. well i'm old skool :)
