Sorry been on hold every since I broke a diff cup. Got some new ones and tempered them but haven't put it back together or started on the body yet. I'm in the middle of building a work shop. Belt drive and 5B wheels/tires coming soon also.

how did you get something to stick to the tank to make a clear window when u bioled in dye?i would like to color my tank and would like a sight glass also.

Hey, I was thinking about that Ildy...I'm going to put a 1/2" strip 2" long of Gorilla Tape on the outside of the gas cap side and try to put the same thing just inside under the cap...should hold off most of the dye and a little bleed through will look OK...A long time ago I did same thing with stripes on rims for my MGT 8.0

Tank: I used a small piece of card board that i cut out as a template and used that to cut out two pieces of masking tape. I placed them on the tank before i painted it and took the tape off later.

Yes, just make sure to use a paint that is fuel and oil resistant.

Tried to upload some newer pictures but photobucket is acting weird. Anyways, I'll try it this way and see if it works.

There we go, that worked. The body is a stock body that I bought to see what all needed to be cut in order to drop the body down to where I wanted it. The body I paint will be cut much nicer. Had an issue with the spark plug threads in head pictured. Now the motor is a TS Reed case with a custom ported 30.5cc stroker head and stuffed crank. I need to get a 990 carb for it still.

Short video: Testing the motor before I start putting everything back together again. Unfortunately the rear end fell over and most of the oil leaked out the diff. Anyone know the stock wt? Motor is still very rich and running around 15:1 or 20:1 oil mix for the rest of this gallon then back to 25:1
