Oiling the air filter ...

I can't seem to find a definate answer after searching - do I oil both parts of the filter (both inner and outer foam) or just the inner part? I bought some "Uni Foam Filter Oil" from our local atv store - is this good for this application? Sorry - new to this stuff - thanks!

As far as I understand, YES - inner and outer.
You can try just outer if you like, or inner.
Don't swamp it, or you may restrict the air altogether.
It depends on how dusty your 'environment' is.

well, i understood just the inner.

i just oil the inner, i use PJ1 super tacky motox spray oil. put some oil ,and a tgn redneck outer filter dry no oil .

Yep thats what I did - I just oiled the inner - worked great until it blew the headgasket 10 mins later. Nothing to do with this though - head bolts must have been loose cos the gasket literally came out on one side...

i have the same oil and same set up,i also oil the same way..with outerwear on also your good to go..
