Hi everyone, i've just split the diff to make sure there was oil in there. I replaced what was in there with some 10000wt but now it looks all congealed ? The original oil was browny and the new stuff was clear.

Is this ok ?

By the way its a brand new baja, hasn't been run yet.

a new hpi baja, and you changed the diff oil off the bat?
any reason or just following what people recommend for the clones?
did you clean everything off of the old oil?
or just get what came out and added the new oil?
might be the oils mixing different weights and what not, open it back up and clean everything off completely and then add the new oil,use some brake cleaner or a degreaser to clean everything up niicely

Yeh I changed it just because I heard there may be a chance it would be under filled. Better safe then sorry!

I just let the original oil drain out and then put my new stuff in.

I'll clean it all back up and then fill it back up.
