i have a set of alloy wheel spiders they would work wonders but after fitting they leave not enough thread to bolt up and once you get to bit and tighten the alloy spider is to tight against the rear bearing hubs which stop the wheels from moving .. its no win situation!
 
im running hpi wheels on the fg bug and even with to much power over 6-7hp the wheels are holding up well when i was running the stock marder wheels and fg squares it rounded so many wheels i gave up plus it was ripping tyres clean off the rims

if that hasnt then this will lol and yes they take the abuse well however i have had problems with the beadlocks ripping off but now i use silverback rc ones they all good ps tyres are only cheapy km/rovan copies but even they are holding up good

@ Renbar how does your rear diff hold up to that kind of horse power i suspect you must be using a allloy limited slip diff ?
 
yes mate its a fg adjustable four plate self locking one it was second hand on ebay and has now done 3 years of abuse with just 1 rebuild so im happy but most the time its not wound up and just set normal without being adjusted tight can go upto 90% locked

think i will upgrade to one now mine stripped on my 1st test run with brushless power and both rear wheel rounded of after a 10 minute run lol
 
Bit of a silly comment but worth mentioning.
Always ensure the wheels are mounted correctly and tightened up as well as reasonably possible - don't over-tighten, as (if FG) you can move the square up against the bearing.
