Craftsman 26cc with carb on bottom of engine

Is anyone familar with this set up? The carburator is on the bottom of the engine. I bought a used craftsman weed eater engine from ebay and did not know the carb was mounted underneath the engine. I don even know how it works like that.

Can the carb be mounted on the side?

Yes it does have a reed on the bottom.

anyone know if these read engines with bottom mount carb can be used for rc truck? if not, what good can come out of the engine?

Trying to do much of anything with it is going to be more time money and aggravation than using the engines designed for the buggy or whatever you would put a engine in. Maybe a R/C airboat.
