Since NO PICS = lies,

Figured I would post a few. Had this truck for a long time. First Large Scale I have ever owned. Love it. Been building it for a long time. Power plant, brakes and much more to come. Give me thoughts, let me know what you think.

Still thinking about the following:

Mechanical or hydro brakes

Trevor Simpson power plant, what CC? Looking for unbelievable power.

Servos, individual for brake and throttle?

Might go for Elcon shocks though.

Any input, criticism would help.

Very nice mate :)

Mmm helical gears, i been thinking of getting them but not sure, now ive seen yours..makes me want em more!

mech or hydro.. hydro the better choice but more expensive. Mecatech are supposed to be decent ones for our FG's. OR..you could always go air brake if funds aint an issue!

as for the engine, cant help you on that one as ive always used stock as ive seen too many people run into probs with modded engines so its put me off lol, im just running a zen 4-bolt 29cc with an FG steel power 3-piece pipe, gives me enough power & speed so im happy :)

servo wise, im using Mpex Rhino Digi 4 for the steering (similar to the hi-tec 7955) never had a prob with my mpex & i love the red colour \o/

for the throttle im using the mpex power speed - again no probs with this & its also red :D

are you using the elcon drive train mount? i was gunna get that other day but sold out on elcon website & i bet they don't get anymore as they discontinuing the FG line they told me when i emailed them! :(

My rear Everything in the rear is Elcon. The front is FG alloy, but I have more Elcon to put on. I have an entire front end of Elcon to put on, not sure if I'm going to do it though.

Linkage in the rear is titanium turnbuckles, Elcon upper arms, and ball joints from hobbythek.

this looks a very nice build so far i wouldnt like the bill lol as all the elcon bits=$$$$$ i think its only right you add a nice fat ts engine look foward to seeing this one unfold

Thanks gents. I definitely tell a MAJOR difference between HT, FG and Elcon alloy. Both visual and price. Kind of confused about the front elcon arms and rose joints though, might not switch them out with the Elcon. Rose joints pop out, nothing holding them in. Brakes coming soon. Hydros.

defo mate, no need to have rear if you got decent hydros on front, & with a MT all the rear will do is skid most the time when you brake as all the force/weight is pushed to the front end when braking :)

Just a heads up, ordered the following today:

DDM 30.5cc race ported engine
DDM Dominator pipe
Mecatech Hydraulic Expert brake set
pedestal
RC Plate
2nd Servo for independent brake servo
Alloy servo arms

Pics in a few weeks!!

hiya mate :)

you any idea how i attatch my shocks to the Elcon XL shock mount, theres no bolts that came with it & not sure the best way to do it, i have the elcon quick release bolts for the bottom to attatch them to the wishbones, but these are no good to fix them to the shock tower as the thread is too big for the hole in the shock tower & also they only have a pin at 1 end!

any ideas :( ?

ive looked on elcon website but theres no special part for it as far as i can see, im a little naffed at elcon as i asked before i ordered if there was anything else i would need!

only thing i can think of is a threaded piece of rod? but i aint even sure of the thread size :(

yep mate very similar, how you fasten your shocks to the top of it dude? i see you use c-clips, atm im using a threaded cap end bolt with a nut at one end which aint great as i have to tighten it quite a bit which makes the movement a little stiff instead of loose like it should be :( ?
