Hi Mike

I haven't tried my car yet, since the the weather is bad and, our track is under water...:(

But what I'm told, it runs more easily, than one which has runed some races

If you read the description about the 40t gear in the FG book it will tell you that the 40t gear gives you more propultion - I assume this means torque rather than top end.

don't get it guys as its a belt drive set up with no center diff how can the front diff be geared different to the rear diff don't all 4 wheels travel at the same speed,,doing this will make the fronts spin up quicker than the rears but the rears will be pushing harder than the fronts,,,,call me thick but i just don't get it

 In theory, will over-drive make the front tires turn faster. This should give the car less offpower steering and will give you more steering exiting the turn, but do it......????
It is something that Team Losi tried, in their XXX 4WD, but I've never tried one ....

agreed but 4wd aint my thing the one way thing i understand,,the changing the front gear size i just cant get me head around all 4 wheels when cars moving are going the same speed yes,,so changing the front gear the fronts will be going slower than the rears

but in that same theory the rears will be pushing the fronts on power faster than the gear wants them to go??????????? im lost mate and sticking with 2wd half the problems

Have read on a German LS-Forum, that the y1252 One-way clutch not it is so durable. :crying:

mate i have trouble reading english lol let alone trying to read german,,the one way diff was just a idea something i found when looking through there site looked good but not having a 4wd to try it on i cant comment on how good it is or if it works but the idea i liked

Why spend so much if all you want to do is move the drive bias to the front wheels - the gears cost pennies compaired to that.

Mike, i think they run the one way so you can adjust your brake bias between the front and rear.

Some tracks call for rear brake only and some require brakes on all 4 corners.

The only thing you couldn't do is brake on the front wheels only..... but why would you want to?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure that's why they do it.

Having run the car I can say that the car goes very well with the 42t geat provided. I am going to try the FG version of the one way diff

https://www.fg-onlineshop.de/ItemDe...d=21&ig1id=2&iid=6755&mi=0&hasv=0&webi=0&pr=0

I run the car on 20/44 because I use my 2wd wheels & tyres instead of the larger ones. I have hydraulic brakes on the front and on the layshaft - it stops on a penny and goes like sh1t off a stick.
