Hi guys, I need a bit of advice. I have a yama buggy, I have put lighter shock oil in which helps the shocks move a lot more freely but my car spends a lot of time on it's roof. It's getting a bit costly after a few high speed flips something usually breaks. I spend most of my bashing down a disused quarry but yesterday me and my mate (HPI Baja 5b ss) were on a football pitch doing a bit of speed testing, my car just wouldn't turn at speed. I have fitted HPI wheel adapters which make it a bit wider, HPI wheels and Proline Bow-Tie tires which helps up the quarry for straight line handling.
Should I loosen my springs? Any ideas?
Cheers,
Nick:D

Its called grip roll mate and it can be down to set up, tyres, shock springs, shock oil etc etc. I found a front anti roll bar helped a lot on my marder but parts are very limited for the yama so you cant just pick these things up when you need them. That is the reason why most experienced 5th scalers recommend a used marder as a starter car because the back up for parts and hop-ups is nationwide. Marders were also the original race car when 5th scale took off so they are capable of good things when set up right even if the design is 20yrs old.

I bought this Yama without any research DOh! Stuck with it at the mo, will change it when I can. The Marder would have been a better choice in hindsight. I think your right about the grip roll, sometimes I can see whats happening.
On the plus side mine out dragged my mates HPI Baja 5b ss on every run, his sounded like it was struggling top end, then mine flipped and broke.

Never seen a Leopard, I'm really new to this. Bought an Ansmann Short coarse 1/10 brushless truck to get me started, used it once now it's sitting under the dining room table. Need to sell both to finance something better lol.
