Working stand for FG MT

I've see a few 1/8th scale MT stands, but I don't believe you'd have enough height for them to be effective.

Probably better off fabricating one. Right now I'm using a coffee can

The darn thing is pretty heavy to work on. I tried holding one end with my left hand while working on it with my right hand and got tired real quick. How is everyone else working on these monters?

total cost was around 12 bucks , and you can adjust the motor mesh's on the stand ..

Ok, I can't get anymore of the stands I use cause the kids have grown up and I don't buy wet wipes anymore. Thats right, what you see below is a wet wipe container wrapped in an oil pad.

Use a 6x9 speaker box with a lazy susan turntable from Home Deopt. This way you can turn the LS around while working on it.

Here's on e of mine:

Here's one I made but you can also just use a Keyboard stand. Many racers in Europe use them.

Selwa, I like your speaker box/lazy susan idea that is awsome, my biggest complaint is turning these darn things around, they weigh just short of 40lbs. You gotta have your wheeties to be working on one of these beasts.

Thanks...... I am actually in the market for a New FG Monster truck. I figured I would go ahead and hit the forums up to see what kind of knowledge that I can dig up from all the experienced people here.

They both work very well. The Keyboard stand works well in the field. The one in the pic was one I made with material I had lying around.

Many places have surplus 6x9 boxes and the lazy susan circular rollers at Home Depot or other "wood" shops have various sizes to choose from.

For a nice rubber mat you can use an old turntable record mat. I did this on my older stand seen below:

This makes you a nice strong stand, slightly heavier that PVC or Copper pipes but you can spin it around with ease! :cool2:
