Check all of the bolts - cylinder head, carburettor.
Check the rods and servo mounting.
Check the servo horn isn't loose.
Might also be a high idle, with the clutch biting occasionally?
Is it low on fuel when it surges?
Do you have an in line fuel filter?
Al.

thats what ive been told.. it had about 1/8 tank of fuel in it.. when i get a chance after xmas im gonna clean the carb, put all new fuel lines and try tightening all the bolts.. i didnt have the electronics on at the time of this video. i was running it manualy on the stand. i don't have a radio yet lol..

Yes it could be an airleak but to me it sounds low on fuel before you do anything i would try running it with a full tank of fuel

Do they run like that when it gets low on fuel? I mean there wasnt much in the tank at all. Just enough to start it really

When you run them low on fuel they begin to run lean, put some more fuel in it and it should be good to go

This is why you should never run them low on fuel they begin to run lean then could damage the engine

Wow really? So maybe theres nothing wrong with my truck after all lol. I hope not anyways i love this thing. I was trying everythig messin with low and high speed needles and the idle screw. I know nitros do that but didnt think these did. I was gonna go all out and buy a new carb and fuel tank fuel lines and stuff. Glad u talked me into this first.

Also wanted to add that when i was on the throttle it wouldnt run like that. It would rev up no problem but as soon as i let it idle it would run crappy.

I had alook at the video again and thats definietly signs of not enough fuel
Try running it on a full tank of fuel and let us know how it goes

I also noticed your running the car without the black plastic engine shroud
you need this because it directs air over the engine from the flywheel/fan to keep the engine cool
