Well only bought this truck for a bit of fun and I just wish I had done some homework before rushing into buying a Shengqi Hummer .
I have replaced some of the problem parts and will do others as and when needed.
I didn't like the body and wanted something different, I would have liked to make a body to match my car but there is too much work in that so I have come up with something else, Not finished yet but it's taking shape.

I was going to make something from aluminium sheet but then I spotted these that the wife had bought along with an old oil can I had.

Some work later with some aluminium plate and rivets I got this.

Got to make it fun too by having something like Animal to ride it, Kermit will be pillion but you can't see him :D
Take no notice of the rear arch, this was just put on there so I could draw the shape I wanted.

I know the center of gravity is now a lot higher and I'm not going to win any races but this is just purely for a bit of fun.
In the process of making the rear arches now.
More pics to follow as and when.
Comments welcome for a newbie.

Have been slowly getting on with this when time and work allow.
Below is what I have done so far.

Foot plates.

Bought an upper bull bar but had to make some mods to make it fit.

Made a light bar to mount them.

Waiting for bolts now to fix it together, I can then put the LED's in them and make something for the rears

Bargain of the month was this.

After some work I have come up with this after installing the RC led's.

THat is utterly brilliant ! Best thing I've seen this year !

I'm impressed you got paint to stick to the horrible plastic on those bottles too, lovely colour as well !

Thank you.
Yes that plastic is not the best stuff, My sample piece was much better than this, the paint will come off if you scrape it but I will see how it copes before I do anything else with it.
Saw the paint in Aldi at a good price and it reminded me of Kawasaki green.

Eventually found some time to get it out for a blast on the weekend.
Not quite finished but I'm happy how it is coming along for the cheaper end of the hobby, Got to tweak the new carb a bit but this was only a test run really.
Can anyone perhaps tell me what the rattling might be?
Comments welcome, advice always taken on board from the experts :D
