For those with 1/5 scale gas power rc cars, trucks, buggys etc what do you guys do after a nice bashing session? In other words, please share some tips and tricks you perform to help keep our cars running strong for years. Cleaning and taking everything apart I think is part of the fun so I would like to hear how you all do it.

Thank You

I take a compressor to mine to get the dirt and grass out then take a toothbrush and get the stuck on crap as much as possible then I take simple green and denatured alcohol mix and spray it down and keep on blowing it clean/dry. If I got it apart for a upgrade or what not is when I do some more detailed cleaning. I like clean trucks don't get me wrong but these are off road beast they like getting dirty and its no fun making them perfect everytime.

Cool thanks for the reply:rock-on:

I think I will order some Cow performance cleaning supplies and gather some household stuff as you suggested.

I usually wait until mine dries off then most of the mud flakes off easily. A wheels & shell off clean usually does the trick them wipe down anything metallic with spray grease. I polish the shell with either car polish or furniture polish as it helps prevent the poop sticking in the first place.

If you are bashing on sand its more of a strip down clean and bearings check as the sand murders them especially if its on the beach where its salty rather than on the dunes. Also if you are running on sand, avoid grease in the drive cups or on the gears as it just turns into grinding paste.
