Had to post my "Dan experience" on here since I saw he has his own thread. I bought a KM T1000a from Dan about a month ago. I happened to get it when we were in the middle of yet another cold snap here in Indiana, so I opted to go through the kit completely and make a few out of the gate upgrades before running it for the first time.
We finally got an out of the blue 46 degree day, so I (being an overgrown child) couldn't wait to get it out and run it. Got out to a paved track and tried everything in my arsenal to get it started...and nothing. Went through flooding procedures, checked spark, coil gap, etc etc. Started emailing Dan, and was incedredibly surprised at how much time he took out of his schedule to help me troubleshoot it. I would say we probably sent 25 or so emails back and forth. It ended with he and I crossing off everything but an internal carb issue. To which he responded by shipping me a new carb no questions asked.
Got it and it runs like a champ now. Can't say enough about his helpfulness and the fact that I was sent a replacement carb so quickly for free. For anyone nevrvous about a no warranty/no customer service product, can relax. I have since sent a buddy to Dan to buy a T1000a and I will absolutely send him any more business I can.

as i have said in the past and will continue to say,dan is a 100% outstanding person to deal with, and any day of the week i will continue to make my purchases through him and support the "clone" there great machine's imo and i am going to buy yet another one soon..thanks dan for your stand up service

Got mine from him about 3 years ago: the 2spd with 30.5cc engine. I've bought a few accessories as well. The ones today are much more durable and hopefully have stronger wheel hexes. Stay away from the drill-start unless there are parts available these days. The shaft wore on mine with much less than expected life and I would have had to buy a whole other conversion ($80 at the time) to fix it. Not Dan's fault. He just sells the stuff and often stands behind quality issues out of his own pocket. In this case, he couldn't help me, but I still give him thumbs up.

Any difference in ordering from Dan on Ebay or King Motors web site?

Contact Dan. I found out that I could have saved a few dollars by ordering directly from the site and saving Dan the ebay fees.
