Hi fellas. I recently discovered this forum and purchased a second hand DBXL a couple weeks ago (currently waiting on a new pull start assembly...I hate those things). I had planned on gutting it and adding a bunch of shiny new parts, but after making a shopping list I've decided to actually leave that car be and just start over since I'm going to end up changing so much. If there's an aluminum part, I plan on using it (a mixture between FID Racing and Area RC), going with a dual steering setup and I'm digging a full mod OBR motor. I ordered some new OEM parts to get the basic stuff (and some replacement parts for my stock car) and will be ordering the upgraded parts this week. Should be fun to put all together.

Alright fellas, I have a progress update. I've got the center diff set up and the and the dual servo assembly mounted. Most of the lighting has been mounted to the bumpers and roll cage. (It's a ton of wiring) Last night I got the front assembly together and am waiting for a stock replacement of the steering rack and front hubs as the aftermarket assemblies omit the small parts needed to put everything together. Now on to the rear end and start testing the wiring before putting sheathes on. My local shops have me a little nervous now since I'm using so much aluminum and eliminating weak points not allowing much flex. But I plan on running this on asphalt and sand, so hopefully I won't hit anything. I had planned on a set of DDM aluminum wheels, but I think a set of Desperados may be better by eliminating the added weight. Oh and I'm waiting on an O'Neill Bros full mod 34cc motor and probably going with a Bartolone silenced pipe.

Just an update guys. After many hours fitting and wiring, it's almost ready to be fired up. The only necessary part left is a pipe, which is going to be ordered today (Victory silenced). Decided to upgrade the servo and went with Savox servos.

This thing looks great. I am jealous. Love the lights and all the aluminum
