I must not succumb to the temptation, only view, and need to discipline myself not to go on a bing online RC shopping spree.

My baja will stay a 5B, self reminder.... ja ja

Those are nice rigs, of all the Beettle is my favorite one.

Crazy bashing, I put mine to one like that a few weeks ago.

Brushless is not my line on fifth scale, its a must to have the sound of two stroke, but its nice to see others w different platforms having fun.

Wonder if your ESC or motor over heated or if the fans got clogged w mud. The good thing is you can spray it w water no problem, not like in gasoline type where significant covering must be done w such amount of mud.

/// (postings above yours) a lot of that cnc is unnecessary bling bling, its adding extra weight, but of course its their money and setup.

i like brushless for being quite and more powerfull than most engines (10hp). no, nothing overheated, the esc and motor barely got warm.

I could not even imagine, to bring an example, driving a dirt bike electric version even if it goes faster, or go to a Blue Angels show and the pilots flying electric jets. The sound of a engine consuming fuel or in this case of a two stroke is unique, and throw in a few 5th scales in the field and is another level, everything turns alive, imo...

And seeing that you introduced another subject which can easily be another thread, there is a limit to how much power to the wheels on a 2WD unless you are running paddles and just driving foward and back on a flat surface . Like the syndrome of many brushless when people slap a Castle Creations, or like you said, 10hp engine, it cant hold a line.

We are all into 5th scale, supporting the hobby one way or another, and electric is different for sure w its own challenges (and advantages).

/// and don't get me started on the 2-stroke smell, ja ja...
