Just recently purchased my first gas rc and it is a baja 5t with ported 34cc motor v1 dominator pipe 1 inch velocity stack and 8mm plug wire. I have it tuned and running very sweet on 100 octane fuel but it tops out at 45 mph (on short grass and tarmac) mph on stock gearing and would like to break at least 50. Im new to this and not sure how tall I can go with my gearing and keep a good amount of low end power so im looking for some suggestions. Thanks.

Welcome matey! You should easily crack 50 with that set up, with a decent gear ratio. I went from stock to using Hostile 19/55 gearing on my Baja 5b, and that's having gone back to using a CY 29cc engine with a Walbro 813 carb. (Though to be fair, that particular engine has always been good and delivered great power, even compared to my Zenoah engines). Done several speed tests and it's notched up 48mph.....so so close to that magic 50! But I can hear a very slight splutter on max revs, so I think it just needs a slight tweek on the HSN and I'm confident it'll surpass 50. Not sure what the stock 5T gearing is, but I know I gave mine longer legs by going to the 19/55 gearing. It still accelerates like a scalded cat and has a nice top end.

I'd try 19/55. That's what I'm running in my 5B w/OBR 32 Full mod and Dom v2 and it easily pulls wheelies and has satisfying top end.

I would use a 19/55 gearing. check out oneil brothers, their lighter with less rotational mass anf use 28:1 ratio she will move very well. I havre the same set up

Gears big dog only problem is tires ballowing front and rear front will cause u to loose control at high speed plus having a safe place to run need a spotter or two...

A Jet Pro pipe will give you better topend..The rear dom pipe is basically a bottom end pipe..Jet pro pipes scream from mid to topend..
Where in Oklahoma are you from I live in Poteau, Oklahoma..

Sorry its taken so long to respond......just wanted to say thanks for the gearing suggestions. I decided to go with a 21/53 nylon set from primalrc and a set of lower profile wider AT tires on hd poison nylon wheels for better traction and handling. So long story short I hit my 50+ mph goal at 53 mph and still had plenty of low end power.
