Just finished my Losi 5B Electric build and took it out last night. I launched it off some small hills near a park and ride, and ended up cracking the rear wing. It's pretty much a goner. I was thinking that it'd be nice to replace it with something sturdier, so the occasional roll doesn't affect it, but haven't found anything. Any recommendations?

The other issue I'm having is that my Castle BEC 2.0 WP seems spotty. I'm driving it off two 4S packs (28.8 volts) and have it stepping down to 8.25 volts for my dual Spectrum 9020s for steering and a 9010 for an e-brake. I was getting unexpected steering and brake loss after only a few minutes of running. I suspect that I may be overheating the BEC. The 9020s whine a little. Could that be causing the BEC to run hot?

Castle specs the BEC 2.0 at 15 amps peak each of your three servos is speced to draw as much as 7 amps. I think a CC BEC Pro would be a better fit in your system.

That was it. The 2.0 was overheating and cutting out. The Pro seems to handle it fine. Thanks for the help!

Now if I could only find an aluminum or steel wing.

I'm glad you found the problem, it also confirms for me many of the issues I have seen folks having when running dual steering setups is due to the system choking the flow of electrons.
