New vekta 5 buyer

Awesome tip , after a whole lot of reading , I see that 98 ℅ octane is recommended ? Where do I get that ? Octane booster or what , I can get 91℅ but not 98℅ what the ? I been using a air compressor to clean my rigs seems to work well enuff but I will grab a beer n a rag n screwdriver and clean up stuff to , that brings up another point , shock covers , I will be doing those for the first time for sure , and other outer wears also for the first time
 
I use 30ml of octane booster per gallon.

Interesting is that I sent a modified g320 to Performance Unlimited for some work. He says he uses 10oz. Of Amsoil Saber per gallon. He claims 12 plus hp. I have seen other high performance builders recommend 8oz. I am new to 5th scale so I am experimenting.

Yes shock covers are a must for the vekta with the exposed shock shafts. I went with outerwears. Not bad at all, I didn't know they Velcro around the shock.

Be sure and just grab yourself a kill switch... I just got done doing 4x15min motor break in while idling. The pipe that comes with it from ddm is pretty nice. I wish I would have picked up the bartalon pipe tho now.

When it comes to install videos the vekta doesn't have much. However you don't need a specific Vekta video search on youtube for the losing 5ive-t for installation of the switch side. For removing of the motor look through the manual it shows the 5 screws you will need to remove. Their is 3 in the back through the transmission plate and 2 in the bottom of the fan cover.

When it comes to covers as we have stated you will want the crank case and at least the pull starter one. Nothing much needed information wise, they come with decent instructions.

Since 2015 I have a pull start museum.
The ropes will break so brush up on the stock knot thats used you will need it.
I tried the Killer steel plastic coated cable that is a waste of money.
I finally bit the bullet and purchased a Turtle V2 Pull starter. Been using it on my Losi 5ive-T and my Vekta 5 both run the Zenoah G320 RC Motors.
Great upgrade I never think of pull starter problems anymore.

Got the vekta all together , H E L P !!! CANT GET THE FUTABA , receiver , transmitter to bind , receiver red light stays on , tried all the procedures , it bonded , servos worked , green light on kill switch , then nothing , just the red steady light in receiver , H E L P !! SOMEBODY , maybe i could get someone to call me ?
 
Try and unplug everything from the receiver but the battery pack, go to your controller and hit the bind button than press the button the receiver. I have read about some people needing to do this to get them to bind properly. Also be sure and keep several feet between the receiver and transmitter.

What transmitter and receiver are you using?
 
If it binded and than stopped working there is another issue I would say.... If you read most say to keep the radio 3'+ feet away. I would say that isn't the issue and more likely a bad receiver

I understand the feeling got 1 tank out of my vekta and the carb started messing up had to get a new one. Hopefully your new one works better for ya.
 
Well , I didn't want to be (that guy ) , so I'm keeping u up with my first 5 scale , and the new vekta 5 progress , I AM READY TO RUN !!! BUT !!! , LAST question for now , what is everyone mixing for fuel in these things I've got the stock zenaoh , need some input on this stuff , I decided on amsoil saber for oil but what's the good mix ? ,,, Boy this otta b good !!!!
