as the saying goes find 16 places to reduce by an ounce, and that is what I just did to my TLR Rovan.

Replaced the stock Losi 5ive-T front/rear diffs with light weight 5ive-B parts = 80g
Replaced stock Rovan center diff with stock Losi plastic housing and light weight spur and internals from 5ive-B = 20g
Replaced Rovan sway bar balls with Losi 5ive alloy balls = 2.6g
Replaced stock steel pinion couplers with Losi alloy couplers = 2.8g
Replaced steel shock mounts with titanium mounts = 30g

Not a pound, but over 1/4 pound of weight reduction tonight. Since most of it was rotational mass I kind of expect it to make more of a difference than had it just been taken off the chassis. Can't wait to put it on the track tomorrow!

Well after running on a pretty wet track I'm sure I can nock off several pounds of mud. The truck was amazing though! Pretty stoked that my back up is as dialed as it is.

So, tonight I put on the 5ive-B clutch carrier =18g
5ive-B droop screws =.02g
TLR6203 =.94g
TLR6204 =.1.2g
Pro-Star Ti hinge pins =2.86g

Grand total 23.02g I don't even want to say what it cost to save 3/4oz, LOL!

Ti Shock mount nuts arrived and knocked another .36g off the weight. Thinking about doing all the 4mm lock nuts next.

I'm new to 1/5th Scale. Out of curiosity, how much ($$) do you have wrapped up in that weight savings?

Thank you,
Jeff

Found another 4 oz, front bumper gone. Over 3/4 of a pound gone since I started keeping track.

My main truck( real Losi) is back up and running and I'm concerned that the Rovan is going to be the better truck with all the work I've done to it the last couple months. Looking forward to running the Losi today though, hope the track dried up enough, we've had about 3.5" of rain this week.
