I have the tarmac tires and they are meh in terms of grip. Slicks I'd assume wouldn't be very good cuz the standard road is not a perfect serface like a dragstrip or something like that. But overall most clone tires are not very good because the material is pretty low quality so grip is not that good. if it was my choice id get these http://www.davesmotors.com/Duratrax-DTXC5012-Bandito-B5-Rear-Tire-Set-for-HPI-Baja-5b.html
Not trying to sway u just stating my opinion. If u do want to get the clones I say the tarmac ones

How fast is this RC going?
Hostile makes some belted tires... also sold on that same sellers site.
I know a lot of people love the Banditos on the 1/10 scale trucks.

I'll be switching them between 27.5 5B and 32 5T for on road. Nothing special about my RCs, just tuned pipes.
 
I was wondering more about their slicks, but its always good to know that their other products makes happy costumers.
