Hey guys,
I have a LOT of excessive slop in the sphere ball ends of my shocks. Is this a normal thing ? It's almost like the inner balls are too small in diameter for the aluminum housings. If this is what it is, than this is prioritymod # 1 to find some type of more precise setup for the shock ends. With this much slop in the balls it's just going to pound the snot out of the aluminum ends until the balls just pop out. Looks like the inner balls are held in by a wire C clip.

maybe try sum hpi shox/ball ends....(y)
or splash out on sum lovey irc big bores.....
:ROFLMAO:top tip if ur pushing ur balls into plastic.........................put the plastic in sum hot water...this will slighty soften the ball hole so it don't stretch it all outa shape as u thurst ur balls in.......:ROFLMAO:.........this is how rpm recommend u fit ur balls in there arms......(y)
u say ally housings....so am guessing ally ends....imo plastic is better here......(y)

Even I didn't go that far ????

My Rovan came with aluminum shocks, not plastic. There's a small C clip that retains the "SPHERE". honestly it's unacceptable loosey goosey.. I reached out to Rovan tech support stating my concern, we will see where this goes.

Mine is aluminum too. The machining wasn't done very precisely on them. I'd say get (by a reputable company) or make new shock caps. Also not sure if u know this (pretty sure u do) they're supposed to swivel, I don't think there's supposed to move back and forth
