Thx Sean! ?+1 skf is one of my preferred seals/bearings.
Thx Doug! ?SKF bearings and seals are big here
I.v used them loads and never had any issues![]()
What kind of grease?Just make sure to put a little grease behind the lip. Gives it a leg up on life as far as lube goes.
Ok, I already have a big tube of red n tacky so that's what I'll use ?I use Lucas red tacky stuff but most any quality grease should work fine.
Acutally didn't know that ?I use skf bearings and seals in my cases, you probably know this but be sure to get double lipped seals?
It's a good job I told you then.. LolAcutally didn't know that ?
Would these do the trick? Nitrile, double lip, and the right size

I'm going to double check if my Malossi ones (alx gave me them along with gaskets with the crankcase) are warped just to make sure Im not hallucinating
It
It's a good job I told you then.. Lol

There, about as best as I can take a pic. I think you can see it best in the 2nd and 4th pic. its only in that one place, i think it might get better once i put the crank in it and the seal in the case, i don't have the case right now tho because it's at the machine shop getting those spots machined down for the malossi crank
Ok I'll do that when I get the case back. Anything I should know about putting them in the case? Should I heat the case like you would do for bearings?Yeah I'd press that in see if it straightens out?
Ok ?Lube them up make sure it goes in straight. Sure there are few ways to get them in.... i.v used a block of wood (redneck hack?) and a hammer??
? Should i use a socket that is big enough to cover the outside diameter and bang it in that way? I can't imagine banging the inner area of the seal is good for itWhat doug said, sort of??
