Warning: if you want to skip the story below and go straight to the question at the end, please feel free. :)

I ran my FHMT last night. Had some issues tuning, but that DDM pipe is unreal. I can't believe how fast it goes.

Anyway, I run out at a schoolyard which is basically a giant soccer field. Some hilly parts that have some bumps where surprisingly, the FH catches some really good air. Well last night I hit some bump that flipped that thing about a dozen times. Of course, something immediately is wrong with the front steering. The knuckle arm is no longer connected to the ball end (popped out) and the shock is dangling. The top is connected but the lower shock end looks like it had been pulled from the arm.

Took it home and today started to look up the part that I need since a sponsor that I have ordered the part from as a spare back in MID JUNE still hasn't sent me my gotdamned parts. So I started to look at the FG Marder part that looks very similar and get ready to order it. Right before I hit the button I decided to look at it one more time. Glad I did. The front shock was never connected. Last week I took it off to see if an LST2 shock would fit on there AND apparently MISSED THE MOUNTING HOLE when I put the screw through the arm. F-ing moronic. Nothing is wrong, it works great.

All that being said, what is a good shock oil weight to rebuild these shocks on this thing with? Any suggestions?

well im getting ready to rebuild shocks on marder beetle any suggestions, i don't like the bouncy rabbit hop it does and i don't jump too big i just want a good susspention

I went back to 40 weight about a month ago, I'm back to super bouncy again. I need to change it back to 7000 and 5000 again (but mine is a truck though).

Additionally, the crap shocks leak like a sieve. Anyone have any good suggestions on preventing this... outside from rebuilding them weekly? :)

Dumb question, but would turning them upside down make any difference or would that put too much pressure on the shock shafts causing them to bend?

I'm curious about pro5thscale shocks. I would love to know if those would work on the FHMT.

That has been the problem with my DTX shocks from the beginning and after many rebuild kits i gave up and used some FGMT shocks int he rear and I am thinking of the Pro5 shocks too. I would think upside down would stress the shaft also.
