Since I was a kid I've always wanted a 93 cobra. for some reason, I love the way this car looks. when I was in high school I owned a 1990 LX until someone crashed into it while it was parked in front of my house. I've been scoping craigslist and ebay for a restoration candidate to build this car:

What do you guys think of this car?
i love it!!!! foxbody is awesome looking.

I don't know why they were controversial ,maybe they were considered a off the floor high speed death trap for
high class rich kids that had no self control that terrorized the neighbor hood!....

Either you love or hate the style

I didn't ,an wont ,if it is a part of American history an it made the people happy ,then that is all its about!
I had never been in that version ,an never owned one ,my wife had the Mustang II ,an a Capri!

I know that the CHP's liked them!....LOL

I'm a mega Ford fan but I have to agree the fox body was a meh for me for the style. We had an 90 as a daily driver for years, basically till it rotted apart. It was a good car and a rocket ship at that time. I look back fondly on it.
The controversy over them started with the mustang II. Ford morphed the mustang into what it needed to be for the times. The 4 cylinder and underpowered V8s of the time got it through the gas crunch and kept the line going. Most muscle car enthusiasts refused to acknowledge it as a muscle car, as such they didnt command a high resale value and many were turned into racecars or drag racers. Now over 20 years later they are starting to become more of a collectable car. Any way you look at it, the mustang is the longest running production muscle car to date. I'd take another if I could get it cheap enough. So I day go for it if you can swing it.

Now the Capri was a fantastic looking car. My dad had one back in the 80s, bronze Ghia 3.0 model. Had a Corrina before that. On British roads that was a tank.

LOL....The Capri that I bought was a 74 with the 2800 v6 engine ,I bought it from the original owner in 1984 ,he had actually
bought the car in Germany an also bought some sport aluminum wheels for it in Italy ,the rims center did not fit on an American
tire machine ,the center hole was too small ,so I always had to change the tires by hand ,that car would do a 130 mph uphill
with out breaking a sweat with a high performance Webber carb!....it was an awesome little car to have in my youth ,I won quite
a few drag races with it on Friday nights!....
